S05E114 From Botox And Burpees To Big Swings In 2026
[00:00:00] Hi everyone. Hold on to your hat and maybe even your barbells and collagen face masks 'cause we've performed a little podcast surgery for 2026 and we're starting fresh.
For those who haven't been keeping track of my audible musings, I'm Dr. Sam Rhee, plastic surgeon and a veteran of three now semi exploded podcasts, my redheaded stepchild, Botox and Burpees, the epic, but now retired, Three Plastic Surgeons and a Fourth, and of course the gray Toyota Camry of podcasts, the HerdFit with the one and only David Syvertsen.
And yes, we're taking a wrecking ball to them all. Okay, fine. Maybe wrecking ball is a little bit dramatic, but I am genuinely fired up about the changes for 2026.
So what's the diagnosis for these podcasts and is that a hint of a shiny new podcast I see on the horizon you ask? Spoiler alert. Yes. Yes it is.
So first, let's please raise our tiny little sterile cups, [00:01:00] yes, I am talking to you, Sal, for the dearly departed Three Plastic Surgeons and a Fourth.
After more than a hundred episodes across five glorious facelifting years with my plastic surgery friends and comrades in scalpels, Drs. Sam Jejurikar, Salvatore Pacella, and Lawrence Tong. We are sending this plastic surgery podcast to a beautiful farm upstate.
It will live out its days playing happily with other retired podcasts discussing boob jobs and tummy tucks in the great beyond.
It was a blast and I hope it served its purpose, which was mostly to educate and occasionally probably confuse listeners with our inside jokes.
Now, if you're hyperventilating about the others, take a deep breath. The HerdFit is Timex. It's still ticking, and after six years and over 200 episodes, Dave has officially taken over production. The front office, the back office, and everything in between about the HerdFit. He's still pumping out awesome content on fitness, [00:02:00] nutrition, and most importantly mindset.
Don't worry, you'll still catch my master's plus plus plus, plus plus perspective there. So just search for the HerdFit wherever you get your audio fix.
And what about Botox and Burpees? Ah, my most personal and slightly chaotic child of a podcast.
My first podcast, over a hundred episodes. It's been a wild ranging journey where I've interviewed surgeons, debated the merits of Uncrustables, which I ate yesterday. Discussed creatine and peptides, chatted with local celebs, athlete coaches, you name it.
Basically it was whatever awesome squirrel happened to catch my attention that week. And for 2026, Botox and Burpees is now getting a facelift. If you love quick, hot takes that sizzle, like a fresh Bovie cautery, I'm sorry, my fellow surgeons, I know, you need to tune in. Whatever the current baffling [00:03:00] or exciting topics are in health, beauty, fitness, and the general madness of the world.
I'll deliver my perspective in a sharp 15 minute dose. Should you invest in a full body MRI? Is estrogen replacement therapy the old but new hotness for perimenopausal women? What in the world is baby Botox? Is it injecting infants? Probably not, but that would be kind of cool, wouldn't it?
And in the CrossFit arena, Mayhem and NCFIT are merging, are we witnessing the birth of a new terrifying Ivan Drago CrossFit super rival?
We're covering literally everything in health, medicine, fitness and more packaged in a podcast so bite-sized, it'll go down smoother than that pre-workout you took this morning.
And finally the news you've all been waiting for and you're hearing it here first before the official siren sound. I'm launching a brand new podcast called the Med Disaster Podcast. If you've ever secretly wished to explore the dark, embarrassing, and [00:04:00] sometimes outright terrifying underbelly of medicine and healthcare, get ready.
This podcast is going to be your morbidly fascinating tour guide. Much, much more to come. So please stay tuned. Thanks for watching and listening folks. Get ready. 2026 is going to be the biggest and best year yet.
